Game Objective:Increase your Net worth and Skull Level to get
the highest Total Estate before the round ends at 8 PM CST on Sunday night.
Net worth x Skull Level = Total Estate (TE)
The Citizen with the highest TE in your clan becomes the Clan Ruler.
The Citizen with the highest TE of everyone
becomes the Emperor or Empress of all the lands!
How do you increase your net worth and skull level? Read below!

When you step through the portal you’ll land on Aureus in the Caves of Wisdom, right where Jalen Blade landed the first time through. You will achieve Skull Level 1 just for getting onto the game!

1. Your first task is to find your way out and into the Bog! Read the cave writings Jalen left for help. Pick up the Apples when you kill a bug. To eat an apple, click the Chest on the toolbar to open your inventory. Click the Food Icon on the bottom then double click the apple. Mmmmm yummy!

2. When you leave the Caves of Wisdom you’ll be in the Bog. You will achieve Skull Level 2 just for getting out of the Caves. Beware the Boglins! If you kill a Boglin he’ll drop a mudfish. Be sure to pick it up and eat it!

3. Open the Map on the toolbar to find the location of your Clan fort. Make your way to the fort using the compass in the middle of the toolbar. Once you find it go to the bunker inside and click the Level 3 Shield for Skull Level 3!

Player Movement:
Esc = I’m scared! I wanna go home! (Takes you out of the AlterVerse)
W-A-S-D = Forward-Left-Back-Right
W+Shift = Run
R = Walk-Lock
Shift+R = Run-Lock

Weapons:
I = Inventory
O = Unmount Weapon

Chat:
Enter = Start Chat
Enter = Send Chat message

Program Controls:

F2 = Who’s on this level

Horses:
Click on a Horse to buy it. It will then show up on your toolbar as a horse icon.
Now if you want to ride it, just click the icon to summon it from the stables.
When it materializes in front of you just bump into it to mount.
Use W and move the mouse forward to go forward.
Use S and move the mouse back to go backward.
Use Space bar to jump and or rear.
Press M to dismount.
If you want to ride with someone, just bump into the horse and they will get a prompt to allow you or not. If they say ok, you’ll mount automatically!

Lantern:
In the Silver Mine you can pick up a lantern and buy oil for it.
Press L to turn the lantern on and L again to turn it off.

SKULL LEVEL QUESTS: *Net worth x Skull Level = Total Estate*

Skull Level 1 Quest – Simply by getting through the portal and landing in the Caves of Wisdom you will get Skull Level 1. It’s our gift to you for taking the time to check it out!
Skull Level 2 Quest – Your next quest isn’t quite as easy. After selecting your Homeland and Clan, you’ll click Play and find yourself in the Caves of Wisdom. You need to find your way out to the Bog. Beware the Bugs!
Skull Level 3 Quest – To get to Skull Level 3 you need to find your clan fort, go into the bunker and look for the Level 3 Badge. Click it to get your skull level. Don’t know what clan your in? Didn’t you write it down? Log out and back in again and when you get to the Avatar Customization screen you’ll see it on the screen. Don’t know where your clan fort is? Well that’s the point of this quest…heh. Figure it out!
Skull Level 4 Quest – This is the Quest for the Key to the Hall of Doors! Skull Level 4 is a trip to Illura, the land of myth and magic, to find the Key. The Key allows you Teleport (TP) to the Hall of Doors where you can step though various doors to go to the 5 Homelands, back to Illura or to meet a friend in the Caves of Wisdom!
Skull Level 5 Quest – You can achieve Skull Level 5 by battling the Garts in the Treasure Cave located in the Free Jack Isles. In the lair of the biggest Gart, Togart, you’ll find some handy hand grenades on his night stand. Grabbing them will get you level 5 AND you’ll have a blast…really!

ROUNDS:

The game will be ran in 1 week long rounds ending every Sunday evening at 8 pm CST.
Test rounds are going on now.
The goal is to have the highest Total Estate at the end of the round.
*Net worth x Skull Level = Total Estate*
Everyone starts each Round with 3000 Arns (gold coins).
At the end of the round EVERYONE loses Active Arns and Arns in the Bank to start fresh for the next round. It’s annoying but this way EVERYONE has a chance to win…even you!
Winners earn extra arns to start the new round!
Winners are the top 3 Citizens, the top 3 Migrants and the top Clan in each Homeland.

CLAN TREASURIES:

Each clan has a treasury.
The amount in the treasury at the beginning of the round is based on the number of clan members.
If you hit a clan’s treasury you will get random amounts of the treasury. Half of the amount you get will go into YOUR clans treasury, the other half goes in your pocket!
Each clan member ‘owns’ an equal part of the clan treasury.
At the end of the round the clan splits whatever is left in the treasury to start the new round.
If you attack a clan’s treasury the clan will be notified in the Clan message board who hit them and for how much and Vice Versa!

CLAN RULER’S BONUS:

Clan Rulers get 10% of each of your clan members Total Estate added to your Total Estate. (Shown on the All Ranks page.)
Clan Rulers can set Bounties!
Clan Rulers can give Roles to their members on the Clan Admin page.
Clan Rulers can remove old players.
Clan Rulers can Invite players to join the clan.
Clan Rulers can delete clan messages on the Clan Message board.

BOUNTIES:

Clan Member Info:

Your Clan Ruler can place a bounty on the head of any player in the game. This is a reward that is paid from the clan treasury to the first person to kill the named player. You will get messages in your clan message board every time a bounty is placed or claimed. You can also check the Bounties page on the Info Site to see all of your clans current bounties or see if anyone has placed a bounty on YOU!

Clan Ruler Info:

To place a bounty on a player, enter /bounty followed by the Arns amount and player name into the chat input box. To place a 50,000 Arn bounty on OTHGMars, you would enter the following:

/bounty 50000 OTHGMars

If the bounty is successfully placed, you will get a confirmation message in your chat box and on your clan message board. The minimum amount for a single bounty is 5,000 Arns and you cannot commit more that 50% of your current treasury value to bounties.

To remove a placed bounty, enter /unbounty followed by the player name or the word all into the chat input box. To remove a bounty on OTHGMars, you would enter /unbounty OTHGMars or /unbounty all into the chat input box. If the bounty is removed you will get a confirmation message in your chat box and on your clan message board.

REFERRALS:

You can recruit other people by using the Invite a Friend button on the bottom left of the Game GUI.
You will receive 10000 Arns for each person you recruit!
The Arns go into your Reserve account for use immediately or can be held over for future rounds.

HORSES:

You can buy horses in Tokara. Click on the horse that you want to buy. You can buy one of each if you’d like. They are 3,000 arns each. Cheap!!!
Run into the horse to mount. Type M to dismount.
After buying a horse you’ll see a new horse icon on your toolbar. Use this to bring your horse to you and to put it away.
If you want to catch a ride with someone just click the horse they’re on and they’ll get a message to allow you or not.
If you dismount, your horse will wait for you for 10 minutes. After that he’ll be up for grabs by anyone else so be sure to get back on soon!

BUYING ARNS:

You can click the Buy Arns link on the Scroll on the website to buy arns to use in the game! You can use Paypal or a Credit Card. The arns go into your Reserve Account and can be made Active at any time by clicking the Arns in Reserve button on the toolbar in-game.

WAYS TO INCREASE NET WORTH:

Raid other Clan’s treasuries!
Attack other players. Be careful though, you may incur the wrath of their entire clan!
Go to the Goldmine in Valhalla to find gold nuggets. sell them to Lars in Valhalla.
Go to Morag’s Forge in Mythriel and pick up diamonds. You can sell them to a merchant to get more arns to buy weapons, horses or deposit in the bank.
Go to the Silver mine in Wisteria Woods to get silver nuggets. Sell them to the merchant in Mythriel to deposit them or use them to buy food and weapons.
Go to the Treasure Caves in Free Jack and look for pirate loot! Sell the gems to a merchant.
Go to Wisteria Woods and hunt Razorbacks, they’ll drop a tasty ham!
Go to Tokara Forest and pick mushrooms. They increase your net worth until you eat them.
Go to a fishing hole and buy a fishing rod and some lures. Fishing is a great way to get your feet wet (pardon the pun) and get started earning Net Worth. Eat them or sell them to a merchant.
Put arns in the bank in Kardia for safe keeping.
Spear sharks in the ocean for shark steaks.
Pick up your spears and bolts after firing them! No sense leaving them for someone else.
Keep trying to get to a higher skull level.
Scavenging – Pick up things you find laying around that other less fortunates have dropped!

CITIZENSHIP:

Migrants vs Citizens: Migrants are non-paying players commonly known as Grunts in the game. Citizens support the game by paying a monthly fee.

Benefits of being a Citizen:

Custom Avatars.
Easy to read white chat.
Can go beyond Skull Level 8.
Eligible to be a Registered Rep and earn cash.
Warm fuzzy feeling for helping an Indie game!

DEER HUNTING:

Deer are in short supply on Aureus. Look for them in Wisteria Woods and the mountains west of Kardia. If you get one he’ll drop a venison chop AND a deer hide worth 5,000 Arns!

FISHING:

You can fish in any body of water on the mainland and in the Silver Mines. There are Fresh Water and Salt Water fish. There are various types of bait that work better for some than the others. You’ll have to learn what fishing holes are best for what type of fish and what types of bait work best. Also time of day is an important factor in some spots. Knowing these things will take time but are the hallmark of a great fisherman!

Buy a pole and bait at any Mercantile store in any village. Equip your pole then go into your inventory in the Misc category and double click to add bait. Click the water to cast your line. Then be patient, fishing takes time!

Take your fish to Angus in the fishing village in Mythriel to sell them!

Remember, Boglins like fish too!

SKULL LEVEL QUESTS: The rest of them!

You MUST be a Citizen to get Skull Level 8 or higher!

Skull Level 6 Quest – Skull Level 6 is in the Silver Mine in Wisteria Woods. Fight off the dreaded fire breathing Gargoyles. Kill Dahot, the meanest of the bunch and he’ll drop a magical fireball weapon. Grab it quick for skull level 6 and an awesome deadly weapon!

Skull Level 7 Quest – Skull Level 7 is achieved by going to Morag’s Forge under the Volcano in Mythriel and killing Sazzon the hideous, fireball throwing demon. When you kill him you’ll get his Scepter, a powerful weapon that summons Sazzon himself to fight on your side, and you’ll be Level 7! Don’t forget to pick up Diamonds along the way!

Skull Level 8 Quest – To achieve Level 8, you’ll need to go to the Goldmine in Valhalla and fight your way past a horde of yeti minions until you find the Mighty Thor, the largest and meanest of them all. Upon beating Thor you’ll receive his magical Hammer!

Skull Level 9 Quest – Level 9 is a nostalgic trip back to the Magellan spaceship that brought the first explorers to Aureus. Can you smell the apple pie cooking? Oh, wait, that’s the wiring on the crazed defense droids! Once you figure out how to get back up to the Magellan from the planet, you’ll get a chance to meet them in person. Find the XR75 Laser gun to defend yourself, then go to the lower decks to find the Level 9 Laser Drone.

Skull Level 10 Quest – To achieve Skull Level 10, you need to talk to Old Fletch the Arrowsmith in Tokara Forest. He has all the information locked up in that crazy head of his.
