Raven|TF: Who are you for those who don’t know you?

Mr?: I’m Mr?, the main webmaster of Inside.QC For those not knowing what Inside.QC is.. It’s an editing site, which teached newbies how to code their own QuakeC patches.

Raven|TF: How does it teach people about QuakeC?

Mr?: Well..We call it “lessons”One lesson cantains a step-by-step instruction on how to create the patch. The lessons can teach you anything from self-teleporters, to .. Mini-Gunners..how to make soldiers shoot rockets.

Raven|TF: sound really cool, now lets say a person with mininal programming experinence want to know how to do this stuff, are the lesson too confusing for them?

Mr?: Not by any means.They are simple, clean, and easy to understand.We also have different difficulty scales on them.If you still have problems, you can always ask on our messageboard, or mail one of the web masters.

Raven|TF: I heard that you are throwing a party on IRC tonight. What is this all about?

Mr?: Yes, we are.. We’re doing this because we want to make Inside.QC bigger. WE want ideas from the people wo read the page. U can find a list of things we’re gonna talk about on Inside.QC
   Layout Ideas (Color schemes, tutorial format, etc)
   Help (Tutorial writers) Anyone?
   Name Ideas
   Information Ideas (What to feature on pages)
   Graphic Ideas
   We need more info on programable 3D games! help!!

Raven|TF: sound great, now is everyone invited to join in the fun?

Mr?: Of course! We think the best way to create a page, is to create it the way our readers want.So.. come join the fun!

Raven|TF: Are you in need of more people to help write “lessons”?

Mr?: yes, we always are. We are also looking for people who can write more “inside” stuff about QuakeC. (Articles)

Raven|TF: Now with the coming of such new games such as Half-Life and Hexen2 are you planning on expanding into these areas of the gaming universe?

Mr?: Yes, that’s the main reason why we are re-designing. We are 100% sure that we’re gonna cover Hexen2 (It will be editable, just like QC) Also, we know that Half-Life will be editable the same way.We might also add Quake2, and DFE to the list. Oh, and did i forget Unreal? .. Of course we might not cover all of them just as much, but we’ll do our best..

Raven|TF: Are you at all worried about Quake2 and DFE using real C code at all?

Mr?: Well.. Kinda. For me, it will be hard, because i have no knowledge to C\C++. If i even get a compiler, i might not be able to do anything cool. I AM looking fwd to Quake2 programing.. just think about the bots! But for me, i migt just be standing on the side line.

Raven|TF: That is really interesting because I am a die hard C programmer and I cannot understand most of QuakeC at all

Raven|TF: Do you have any plans for a large tutorial to help people built their own Partial Converstion?

Mr?: Not currently, but if you did add all the tutorials into one package (Which Drywall might be doing!) You would have a huge patch!In the level editing scene, no.If anyone want to make a huge tutorial, though, feel free to mail me!

Raven|TF: Do you have an suggestion for begining programmers?

Mr?: You mean people like me? (heh) Yeah, sure. Do like i did. Sit down, read all the info you can find, and don’t be afraid to fail!Even pros do that. (I’m not one of them, trust me 🙂

Raven|TF: Before we end this interview so we can get to the party soon, do you have any comments or suggestions on anything?

Mr?: World peace, and more Quake Engina games!

Raven|TF: BTW, where did you every get your name, if you do not mind me asking?

Mr?: Well.. I kinda just though. Hey! Mr? Sounds cool.. I kinda regret it now, though. No IRC server let’s me use the “?”..
